MARS

Atlas Filtri MARS iron removers are column filters used for the removal of iron and manganese.

The presence of these substances at high concentrations makes water undrinkable, leads to considerable deterioration of the organoleptic features of the water (yellowish colour, odour and metallic taste) and creates stains and other aesthetic inconveniences on taps, dishes, laundry etc. Iron removers are fitted with pyrolusite filtering media that trap the iron contained in the water through oxidation, making it precipitate in the form of easily filterable particles. The iron collected in the filtering bed is periodically discharged through backwashing, controlled by an electronic displacement timer/control, to restore the original filtering rate of the media.
MARS automatic iron removers are available in standard models with varying filtering rates between 25 and 700 litres; models with greater filtering rates can be built to specification.
They can be installed on the water mains inlet for domestic and industrial use.
