VENUS
Venus chlorine remover filters are installed at the water mains inlet when there is an excessive amount of chlorine and organic substances in the water, causing unpleasant odour and taste.
They are comprised of a column containing a filtering bed of select vegetable granular charcoal, with high internal surface and optimum porous structure for the absorption of organic compounds contained in water for civil and industrial use. The filters feature a head controlled by an electronic displacement timer/control, which automatically backwashes the charcoal media.
Automatic Venus chlorine removers are available in various models with filter rating between 25 and 600 litres.
In drinking water systems, it is advisable to install a disinfection system (UV or chlorine dose) downstream of the chlorine removal filter.
